Incredibly, the Pirates had not yet been shut out this year coming into Friday night despite the fact that this club seems to find new levels of offensive ineptitude with each passing week. After Friday’s loss, that is no longer the case. I went to bed after the Bucs failed to score in the 7th, figuring if I stayed up to keep watching the Pirates would only make me mad and tired the next morning.
And I was right on the money.
